Reviews of Second Chance Bicycle Shop - Donate My Bike
"Wonderful people; we should support them. I brought in a used bike and wanted to give it to a refugee kid after Giant told me it would cost more to repair it than buying a new bike. But they pointed me to the 2nd chance. Second chance ended up giving me a different and better bike. The refugee kid I am helping with will be thrilled. Thank you!"
"On behalf of hundreds of veterans from across the region, please accept our deepest, most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and staff of Second Chance Bikes proprietor Mr. Ernie Clark. Ernie will be greatly missed for his unselfish service and friendship that he provided to our Veteran population for well over a decade. Mr. Clark made it possible for veterans experiencing various hardships and obstacles to have transportation with quality refurbished bicycles that he and his staff provided. Mr. Clark strongly believed in accountability and creditability, this was a prerequisite to earning one of his bikes from our program. Our Community has lost a very unique individual. "let us not forget" Tony Medina State Veteran Representative"
"Had a great experience at Second Chance. Ernie and Eric invited me by phone to visit the shop. They both devoted one hour of their time locating the parts I needed, and istalling said parts. The most courteous business people I have ever encountered in Aurora. I had several frustrating phone calls to other bike shops in Aurora, these bike shops were not interested in helping an old man with parts; only interested in selling new bicycles. I would encourage everyone to visit Second Chance."
"Considering that we are in the midst of a global pandemic and our kids are at home, all new bikes are sold out. I though that second look would have a reasonably priced bike in good condition. The salesman tried to sell me a very used and damaged Scwinn for $100. There were chunks out of the seat, rust and the paint was badly chipped. When I countered with a more reasonable price the salesman got offended and raised his voice to me. Please don’t ever donate your old bikes to these charlatans."
"Such an amazing place! Took my stroller in for the tires, they all were so helpful! They care and are completely honest. They kept my 8 month old son smiling and laughing. We will be back for sure when we need bikes or additional services. Thank you so much!"
