"We walked around the reservoir last summer/fall about 3x per month and loved it. Was in the morning, very active wildlife. Many fishing too both in boat or from shore. Very peaceful. Great place right in the city."
"A getaway in the city. Great path for walking/running/ bike riding with plenty of places to go down to the water and play on the shore with the kids. I don't fish, but see plenty of people catching fish here. We see duck and geese families throughout the season as well as a lot of other cool birds. Great sunsets over the mountains as well. I really wish Quincy Reservoir was open during the winter months, but understand it serves a purpose to be closed."
"Honestly I've lived in Aurora for decades and never knew this place existed! Awesome place to see some water and walk on a soft trail. The bugs are relentless but truly spectacular for being in the city. There are not a lot of people on the trails and after you walk from the parking lot the noise just disappears. Parking is not free, but there is a school across the street that's free to park in and you'll have to cross over Quincy. A great spot to clear your mind!"
"Very nice place for an evening walk. Wish the $10 daily pass was less, but I do agree that is worth for people do fishing and take the maximum benefit from this place."
"Very peaceful lake. No motorized boats allowed so the water is clean. The trails are good for hiking and biking, but the trails can be uneven and muddy sometimes, so be careful. Kayaking is nice out on the lake when it isn’t windy. You can’t stop on the island or swim, but paddling out there is fun. The trail is about 2.5 miles, so it’s a nice walk or bike ride. The place is good for exercise since you don’t have to pay to walk the trails. This picture is a view of the lake from my backyard in August."
