"I loved the Colorado Native Ski Season Kickoff with Meier Skis on 11/9! The brands represented were awesome and certainly helped to spread the stoke for the upcoming season. Between the free beer, the ski and board raffle, and the warehouse tour I learned so much about about local companies. At the end of the night I had a disheartening experience with the bar tender helping out with the event. Working in the industry, I love connecting with others about a sport that brings communities together. Hearing a stranger bad mouth one of my co-workers, who I know well and respect, left a bad taste in my mouth after such a fun evening of learning and spreading the stoke. While the industry is quite small, a local brand like Meier can do so well and is doing awesome stuff with locally sourcing their wood. I hope that in the future, staff can help build the brand’s reputation and not make it harder for such a small company to add to an already awesome community."
