"Super friendly folks who work there, Abe rocks and builds up a bike quickly. Huge inventory. Great and easy experience buying from here."
"I came in here to look around and maybe grab some tools etc for my bike I haven’t used in a couple years. Some guy in probably his mid 50s walked out and asked how he can help me( his tone and attitude was already kind of rude). I asked him how much they charge to true wheels, he responded with his rate, and I replied that I was gonna just take a look around the store. He then followed me around and was clearly watching me I assume to make sure I didn’t “steal” anything.. maybe for wearing dirty clothes? And a hoodie? anyway it was weird and made me feel uncomfortable.. I was clearly being watched and profiled while I looked around. It very obviously wasn’t just friendly, he watched me intently non stop. I’ll take my business elsewhere.."
"I wrote a review before how this great this spot used to be the greatest bike repair spot ever, but now things have changed. I took my bike in repair for over $200 repairs and my bike is slower and rusty as ever before. Even if you pay for the most premium package. I Guarantee your bike will be slower than than before, just look for an independent shop before u consider this place. - Brian Q"
"BUYER BEWARE! I was charged $40.00 for a kickstand that retails for $19.99. The bike didn't come with a kickstand which is normal for Mountain bikes. I ask Gabe (Sales Rep) if the kickstand would be any cheaper online. He stated that Specialized sets the prices for their products and that the price would be the same. The hand grip on my son's other bike was messed up after setting it on the ground so I went ahead with the purchase. After viewing the receipt I noticed the kickstand wasn't listed but a miscellaneous charge for $40.00 was. Once I research the kickstand online and at another Specialized dealer I was disappointed and felt taken advantage of. After contacting the store and speaking with the Owner Bill, he said that they would take care of it. I received a call from Gabe the following day. He did apologized for the overcharge and stated that the price had gone down and the "system" didn't update. Yeah Right. A refund was given, but I'll never go back. There are great bike stores all around and Specialized is a great brand, they may need to be a bit more selective in whom they work with. Bottom line, do your research before heading into DERBY BICYCLE CENTER"
"I bought a new bike at Derby Bicycle in 2022. Just moved to Colorado and the business was not too far from my home. I was looking for an hybrid bike, not too expensive, something to ride on paved trails. The owner was very helpful and professional and directed me right away towards the right product. Very happy with the choice. My old bike needed TLC because of a strange problem with the chain. The owner himself, along with the tech, dedicated his time to discover the issue and everything was fixed correctly. The mechanics in the back were also very knowledgeable and the turn around for a full check was very fast. The personalities in the store are to the point, without too many "bells and whistles". They know their product, they are honest and that's what I'm personally looking for in a business. I would like to see this business taking advantage of more square footage, since the inside is extremely crowded with bikes and all related items. It is not a deduction point. They just deserve a bigger space to feature their product. Overall a very positive experience. Thank you."
