Reviews
"I was so happy to have found this thrift store. The staff have all been very friendly and nice. HOWEVER: when I first began shopping there the prices were reasonable. Now New Horizons Thrift Store now tries to keep with the high prices of other thrift stores in the city. USED towels marked $4.99 which is better than the ARC but BRAND NEW towels at Costco are $6.97. All the the men's and women's jeans have increased so much I won't buy them. Men's used Levi's were $29.99 last time I looked. It's really a shame it's changed from being affordable to overpriced. The stars are higher because of the friendly staff."
"Very civilized, decent selection of goods, always polite and respectful employees, organized and clean displays...only place I donate and shop second hand."
"At checkout the card reader was down and information was being entered manually, which I completely understand. However, this meant that your card number, name, and zip code were all on a large screen that faces customers and can be seen by anyone in the checkout line. I made the decision to leave my items and not make a purchase today. The employee apologized and offered to go get a manager to see about fixing the card reader, but I was being hassled by the customer behind me for not wanting to make my purchase and had no desire to spend any additional time in the store. I will choose to shop at stores that do not put their customers' payment information on display for anyone to steal."
"You know, I have had several incredible experiences with this store. The staff is diverse and unique and always willing to help. I have gotten several things from furniture to clothes to toys for my kids and all have been welcome additions without issues. To top off what this store has to offer, they have a decent book section and an arts and crafts area that is stocked one day and gone the next. Lol (lots of artists I see.) If you would like a deal that tells the other thrift stores they are doing it wrong, check this place out and see what you might find."
