"I was happy to find the last camco sewer cap for our trailer. We were sent there by the mesa verdi camp people. The place was void of employees. I walked around quite a while and finally asked a cashier who looked up rv supplies on isle 12. Was delighted to find the replacement part I needed. I suppose it is difficult to find anybody to work anymore. So just wanted to thank the cashier who took time to help me out. Lack of floor assistance is also a factor at tractor supply in our town."
"Talk about a great store. It's like Tractor supply meets Boot Barn. Lots of products for various animals, clothing, tools, shoes, and cool snacks. Friendly staff as well."
"Decent place that I'd position has halfway between a Rural King/Tractor Supply and an Ace Hardware. If you know what you're getting and don't need assistance you'll have the retail experience you're expecting. If you need a human to access something or resolve an error in their retail system, expect to be there a long time and leave frustrated. My issue was over the pricing if an electric weed eater. The sticker price of each component (weed eater, battery, charger) was each equal to what the total package (all three components) were priced at nearly every competing retailer. I pointed out the error the MOD and showed where the stocking clerk had likely made the innocent mistake. I pulled up the same item on Lowes, Amazon, etc. to show the prices to the manager, and also kindly pointed out how there's no way a company, logically, would try to bring a weed eater to market costing over $1000, or, that his corporate office would be trying to sell something nearly $700 more than competitors. While friendly, the MOD didn't agree with my view nor accept my request for a price match. He said that was their price and there was nothing he could do I gave up, went home and bought online from Amazon. It was an hour of my time at the store, but four days later I had a beautiful yard and an extra $700 in my pocket. Thanks!"
"The staff is absolutely fantastic! Customer service was outstanding! Cashiers 10/10. They always have the feed I need stocked and ready to go. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager I spoke with was also very helpful. Great job BIG R! Will be back soon."
"We regularly shop at Big R in Cortez but, after our experience today, we will no longer patron their store. We wanted to purchase a chainsaw, the first one they provided wouldn't start so they sold us another. To make sure we received the correct saw, we tried to start it outside the store. The saw wouldn't start. When we took it back seeking assistance they took it to the back to troubleshoot the issue. The manager shouted at us and accused us of breaking the saw. She then refused to allow us to return/exchange the saw and wouldn't get the saw from the back of the store nor allow us to retrieve it. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism or candor much less from someone in a management position. Customers around us looked horrified at the behavior of the manager and her loud, rude, irrational accusations. Finally, the man in the back who was looking at the saw confirmed it was malfunctioning (we hadn't broken it or caused the issue). The manager never apologized to us. We will never return to this store and will shop at IFA instead. It's unfortunate that the behavior of one manager should ruin our experience. I understand the stress of retail work and empathize with the staff especially with our current situation but this treatment was completely uncalled for and inappropriate. I've got a call in with the Regional Manager to report the issue but felt I should add to the chorus of other bad Google reviews so that others can avoid a similar experience."
