"Pretty gardens with informative markers about the plants and displays. There are many benches and picnic tables to rest at along with an easy path to follow to see all the sights. There's a children's garden with a book trail and a cute gnome home. It's free to visit (donate if you can) and very well maintained."
"I really enjoyed the Scarecrow Festival. I had never been to the Botanical Gardens in Montrose before, it's very nice. I don't live there, but hope to go again next year. If you get a chance, go and enjoy."
"Lovely space! Spent about 30 minutes taking it in. Obviously a lot of hard work put into caring for it."
"Absolutely beautiful garden in Montrose. Free (please donate!) and open dawn to dusk. I saw one family in the several hours I spent here. It is beautifully laid out and maintained with helpful suggestions throughout about xeriscaping. They have sections for cacti, drought-resistant plants, shade loving plants, grasses, herbs and more. This is a wonderful place to escape and spend a few hours in search of beauty. Highly recommended"
"Great place to wander around and look at various plants, grasses and trees that grow well in the local climate. Paths are well maintained and many volunteers put in countless hours of labor to maintain and upgrade the gardens. The Christmas time event with horse drawn wagons, lights and a visit from Santa was well received by those that braved the cold weather. Well worth the trip."
