"The best hike I have ever experienced. 3.5hrs up and 2 down. Take you time and enjoy the scenery."
"The trail to the lower blue lake is easy to follow and doesn't require river crossing. Popular camping spots so make sure you arrive early if you want lake view tent location."
"If you’re thinking about going there don’t think twice. The best hike pf my life so far. We went on Aug 28 and our group of four people were not physically fit but still we were able to hike to the lower blue lake and back. We enjoyed the entire hike the weather was perfect, there was slight drizzle in between but it only added to the beauty. We witnessed beautiful views of waterfalls, different types of mushrooms, wildflowers, creeks and ofcourse the lower blue lake it was so beautiful that its not fair."
"The Blue Lakes trail is really beautiful. Round trip to the lower lake is 6.6 miles. There are some steep parts of the trail. We hiked it on a Sunday. The trail was pretty busy. If you can hike it during the week I would say to definitely do that. The wildflowers were absolutely beautiful. Lots of Columbine around the lake. And the color of the lake is just stunning. My son and nephew hiked to the middle lake which is another mile. They said that lake is disappointing but the view up there was pretty spectacular. This trail is definitely on the more difficult scale and I wouldn't suggest it for young kids."
"Most beautiful hike I’ve ever done! Challenging, but worth it. The trail is very narrow in a lot of places with really steep drop offs. Very steep, definitely need trekking poles. In the summer there’s wildflowers and waterfalls everywhere. Great to do with dogs."
