"It was my first visit and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. My stylist, Jamie, did an amazing job hand painting my highlights, and the color came out perfect. The whole salon was welcoming and super efficient. I will definitely be back!"
"Wonderful first time experience. The young lady I was with listened carefully to what I wanted, showed me samples, looked at pictures and discussed everything I've previously done to my hair. I normally dye my own hair as I am pretty gray, but I've been lazy and only doing the front lately. She didn't wince a bit at the inconsistency. She was also very clean in her execution. She was kind as can be, and the color was no less than perfect. I wish I could remember her name, but she was the young black girl with long braids. She was just a joy. The young lady who blew dry my hair and washed my hair was also super kind and enjoyable. I had such a great experience."
"So I want to start by saying I like the end result and my stylist was nice, which is why it’s 2 stars and not 1. I told them I never dye my hair so this was a special occasion. I booked an accent highlight for $95 and had a 25% coupon that they issued as a $23 credit to my account ($71 service). After they washed my hair I asked if they were going to blow dry it and they said yes and nothing more- didn’t say it was going to be a $45 blowout. So when I checked out, my total was $140 with a $23 credit (this is not the same amount as 25%!). I reluctantly paid bc I don’t like confrontation, so I called their corporate center when I left. They apologized for not telling me a blowdry was extra and for changing my appointment services on the spot, and said they would issue me a refund for the $45 blowout- BUT they factored the credit in so I am only getting $21 back. I wish I had a better experience, but I’m not going here again due to the shiesty practices"
"Colorist was very pleasant, but already had a color picked out before I even opened my mouth. She didn’t listen to what I wanted. I told her I had experience with the color she was using and it was too dark, but she insisted it would be fine with highlights. at the end, I basically had no highlights and very dark hair.…exactly what I wanted to avoid. She had the nerve to blame it on me, stating that we spent too much time focusing on PARKING at the beginning!!. What does parking have to do with her failure to listen? I asked her why she didn’t just have me show her what color I wanted and she continued to blame it on me. It’s her responsibility to listen and understand what the client wants. Then she didn’t even have the nerve to check me out upfront. Not an apology nothing. I never raised my voice, or was unpleasant, though unhappy. I stated all I want to do is figure out how to fix this, and she walked to the back and never came back Very disappointed, I could’ve had the same result at home for 10% of the cost. Read Jennifer’s review below. Exactly the same experience. They do not know how to manage gray hair and blending highlights apparently"
"Located just a few blocks from the Cherry Creek Mall, in Cherry Creek North, you will find Madison Reed Color Bar. This quaint little salon is tucked amongst several other shops in the area. Lots of foot traffic in and out, and sometimes feels a little bit understaffed during the week, As staff sometimes hast to go and help customers that are coming into the shop, and cannot always give full attention to clients.Great selection of hair color. I was very pleased with the color quality and product itself, and I was originally going to do all over color but ended up with just a root boost (happy little mistake that did occurred) that blended perfectly into my existing color. Overall pleased with the color and experience. Price was mid to upper end. One bonus that I did appreciate was the fact that you could take that same color home and for those who like to DIY, it can be a little more cost effective."
