"I have been going to Phat Thai since Mark Fisher opened years ago. My favorite item was the water fall beef. What I was served tonight was three strips of medium rare beef, accompanied with raw vegetables and a glob of bad rice with a container of some green sauce. THIS WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE GREAT ENTRE I ONCE ORDERED UNDER MARK'S OWNERSHIP. A complete disappointment. I paid my ticket in full with a generous tip to the poor server who suffered through my irritation . Will not be back!"
"Delicious hidden gem! Wonderful amount of gluten free options and they are very knowledgeable and helpful in this regard. The food is delicious, beautifully presented, and generously sized. We had the laksa shrimp as well as the salmon curry and they brought out two big plates for us to share our dishes and both were phenomenal. We liked it so much we ordered the mango sticky rice to go. Atmosphere is lovely and the staff is very friendly and on top of things. Keep it up! :)"
"If you know how Thai food should tastes and want Thai food in Carbondale, this restaurant is not for you. If you enjoy a friendly helpful staff and an upscale atmosphere, then you’ll love this place. For the food, to me, It is an interpretation of Asian ingredients and flavors. Some of the common Thai dishes were missing and lacking a lot of key ingredients. The Phat Thai (Pad Thai), this iteration uses too much paprikas and missing key ingredients. Our party shared two papaya salads and we had 8 different entrees. We all tasted everyone’s food, I personally think the food were good, but it is not authentic."
"Went here after a long day of snowboarding and driving all the way from Denver before checking in to our hotel. We were so excited to find a Thai Restaurant in the area we were staying in, but I guess this place has a lot of rooms for improvements. It was very generous of them to have crispy chips as a complimentary, and it comes with 2 different sauces too. We ordered bunch of different stuff, we love Thai food ! We ordered laksa, penang curry, Fried chicken, the lamb curry, Thai tea and birch beer. The lamb curry lacks of flavor and I think it's too watery for a curry.. I love my laksa, it's our fave on the table. Penang curry is ok. They can improve the flavor with more spices and flavor I think.. It's a great location and easy parking too!"
