Reviews of East Interlocken Disc Golf Course
"People are too charitable with the star rating system. 5 stars... Compared to what? It is a nice layout with 9 baskets. Some nice technical shots with the only downside being that you may pay dearly if you go into the irrigation ditch, one of the two cocktail swamp creeks, or the pond so, bring a disc retriever! Will save you from frustration a lot of the time. These hazards run through the whole course. If it is windy at all, this course can be a nightmare for that reason. I give Beaver Ranch 5 stars...Interlocken graciously receives a 3 star rating."
"Your experience will vary on your skill level. Mid-level players will love the technical shots. Beginner players will loose discs! I give it 5 stars from a mid-level player perspective. Beginner players may get frustrated with the technical shots that can eat discs. Well maintained park property with trash cans and permanent bathrooms. I would recommend a retriever tool for discs here. Sometimes a disc can go 4 feet out into the muddy cattails. Only 9 baskets, but very smart use of space. You will throw a variety of shots as each basket is unique. Does get muddy in the winter. Some recent new concrete was added to help out the mud situation. Overall love this course and I would best describe it as a Mid-level player technical course."
"Nice park to walk around during lunch breaks. Also has a nice 3par disc golf course. Most of the holes are about 250' from a cement tee pad. Most of the throws are basically straight. Two holes that would benefit from curving the disc to the left and one other to the right. Just be careful about throwing your disc in the water. I tend to see every disc that turns into a roller goes right into the water. Sticking with flat throws helps with staying dry. The course can get busy on nicer days. I would expect to be playing behind someone. Lately, there have been a couple elitist try hards who behave like they own the place. One guy tee'd off his drive right at me when I was about to make my second throw. Zero warning or heads up, much less apology for nearly hitting me in the back and startling me. Then he did the same to the person playing ahead of me. He didn't even care at all he was throwing into people. Playing through is not supposed to be taken so literally nor done by surprise. That's how people get hurt."
"Beautiful day for the park. Picnic benches, disc golf course, dog friendly, shade and lots of grassy areas for social distancing."
"This is a tough course, but very spread out and well designed. Takes about 30-45 min to get 9 holes in... The next 9 holes are just different pads but the same chains as the first 9. Overall, it's probably about a 3.5 star but I'll go 4 just because. In the pics: obviously played after it snowed, but it was nice. You can see in one picture how the disc barely missed going into the culvert and another picture you can see the disc stuck in a tree."
