Reviews of Osburn Cabinets & Design
"We hired Osburn for our in town model home where we feature many built-in cabinets and creative use of their product and service. Grant & team were great to work with, and very pleased with the outcome that they provided. They supported us through a delay in our construction and were very kind to work with - we would highly recommend working with Grant & team for your cabinet project!"
"We could not be happier! Not only is our custom vanity incredible, our experience with everyone there was incredible! They came out to take measurements on the same day I went down to Osburn to look at cabinet colors and discuss my project! No waiting! I felt valued as a costumer. I am thankful Osburn Cabinet was recommended to me! Such a great experience! I’ll add photos once all the details are done."
"A perfect experience. Great workers and friendly faces."
"The owner of this company treats his employees terribly. He is a horrible boss and person."
"We would never again use contractor Bill Osburn (Osburn Cabinets, BTO Construction) or carpenter Matt Hildebrandt (Hildebrandt Construction, Custom Building Solutions). We hired Osburn to provide new cabinets and to expand our master bathroom. We did our due diligence: checked references, provided checklists to eliminate confusion, and knew what we wanted. We gave them detailed, to-scale drawings of the floorplan and cabinet wall. We caused no delays. Still, the project took twice as long as it should have. We experienced a continual series of frustrating, preventable problems. The carpenter installed and then damaged nearly every new surface through carelessness or rushing, and these had to be repaired. Many things are not level, including the cabinet drawers. A faulty sink drain installation was blamed on design. The list is distressingly long. Ultimately, we did end up with a larger, updated, and well-functioning bathroom. The in-floor heating feels wonderful. The tile people (Dun Rite Tile) were superb with installation of the shower and floor, and they also solved a lot of carpenter-caused problems. We are pleased with the fixtures and finishes we chose; overall it’s a pretty room. Still, problems remain, and we have chosen to live with some of them and pay extra to hire professionals to remedy the rest. Frankly, I think the attitudes and behavior of these men were shameful. For example, the contractor complained about us sending him emails about our ongoing and valid concerns with his carpenter’s unacceptable work. Also, when shown that both medicine cabinet doors fell to the right when open, one mirror even hitting a side sconce, both men sidestepped the blatantly obvious—the cabinets were not level. Neither had the integrity to acknowledge this and say they could and would fix it. The carpenter told us we could attach a chain to the cabinets to stop the doors. The contractor avoided the subject altogether and chose to play “gotcha.” He said he noticed something nobody else had mentioned, but he refused to tell us what it was. These are people we hired, trusted, and paid to care enough to do the job right and to our satisfaction, not to smugly think they put something over on us. I find this dishonorable and unethical. The carpenter needs to learn to use a level. The contractor needs to learn to level with his customers. Buyer beware."
