"As an Asian person, these dumplings are just okay. The pan fried dumplings have so much oil on them, and sit in a pool of liquid/oil. And I’m not sure if it was cooked all the way, as some of the pork was still pink. The service was pretty slow and that’s okay, but you know when you wait so long and your appetite goes down? That’s how long it took to get our food. Would I recommend this place to someone? Probably not."

"Well what can you say about a place that has beef and cheese dumplings with a pot of chili oil on the table, but yes please? I addition to this, We got a bunch of dishes like scallions, glass noodles and pork, one that had fish, the pork belly bow bun, and some other deliciousness. The service was boarding on impatient but the dumplings were top notch. Great fillings, tender dough, crispy searing. It was all great! It was so good, in fact, that I only took a couple of pictures!"

"I really hate to post this review because I had such high hopes for this place. However, we were extremely let down by the quality of the soup dumplings. Almost all of the soup dumplings that we ordered had burst. The 2-3 that didn’t barely had any soup filling and if they did, it was bland and flavorless. There was absolutely no flavor distinction between the crab soup vs the steamed soup dumplings. I’m from Southern California so I’m a bit spoiled when it comes to soup dumplings but I didn’t expect the flavor to be lacking as much as Mason dumplings was. I should also mention that there was barely any filling inside either. How does a pork filled dumpling barely have any flavor? We also ordered the beef noodle soup, which was fine. The broth was quite bland and under seasoned, I’m used to a lot more xian-wei (umami) in a beef noodle broth. All in all, highly doubt we’ll be back as it was quite underwhelming. If I order soup dumplings and all the soup is at the bottom of the steam basket then I figure I should stick to eating them when I visit Southern California or when I make them myself at home."
