Reviews of Federales Denver
"Got tacos and drinks here and they were all super good! The best part was the ice throwing! Would recommend again just to do that but also this looked like one of the few places that had food in this area!"
"These nachos were so good! I loved it came with a gravy boat with more queso to add as you eat. They have a bell were people were throwing their drinks, most had terrible aim but fun to watch or do yourself They have a self service station for water, which was nice as the waitress did forget."
"This was my first time dining at Federales. Went in at 2:30p on a Saturday and stayed for a couple hours chatting with a friend while enjoying some lunch. There was a DJ there playing music so loud we had to almost yell to be heard. The staff was polite but out waitress forgot about our table a couple times. The chicken tortilla soup was delicious and absolutely worth the $7! The chicken taquitos on the other hand weren’t worth the money in my opinion. The strawberry margarita was good but next time I wouldn’t get the Tequila Rosé again (the flavor was just not great in my opinion)."
"After catching a Rockies game (they won!), we decided to make our way to Federales on a Friday night. By 9:15 PM, the place was already buzzing with more energy and excitement than any other watering hole in the area. The crowd alone hinted at a fantastic night ahead. We only dropped by for drinks this time, the food looks downright amazing. We left with an irresistible urge to return and indulge our taste buds in the near future. Safety is paramount, especially in downtown Denver, where the urban scene has experienced significant changes since 2012. As we approached the entrance, a larger, shirtless gentleman dramatically vaulted over the front wall and dashed inside – a sight that struck us as amusing. However, our amusement reached new heights as we spotted the same shirtless man, now in the company of several security personnel, being ushered out. He even treated us to a spontaneous jig on his way, leaving us chuckling as we headed inside to order our drinks. Despite the crowd, the bartenders managed to provide impeccable service crafting drinks, efficiently catering to everyone placing orders at the same time. In fact, they whipped up one of the finest Gin & Tonics I've ever had in Denver, a stark contrast to the disappointing experience I had earlier that evening at American Bonded, one of Denver's worst spots, in my opinion. We chose to enjoy the weather and sat outside. Approximately 40 minutes into our evening, a fleet of Denver Police arrived on the scene. Guess who decided to make a grand reappearance? The same shirtless man, and this time, he had decided to ditch the rest his attire! With the support of Federales security, the Denver Police took charge of the situation, as the man seemed to be combative. They ensured their safety, his safety, and ours by restraining him. Eventually he was picked up by Denver Paramedics and escorted away. There was a slight negative. A person in a maroon shirt (who appeared to work at Federales?), along with some security personnel, repeated yelled at people to stop recording or taking photos during the incident. For this reason only, they receive a 4-star review. So close to a 5-star, but stress causes people to act irrationally at times. All in all, it was an evening filled with memorable moments, and we can't wait to return and sample the food! Moses wholeheartedly recommends Federales Denver for an unforgettable night out."
