"This was not what I expected! The food was amazing and had some amazing new flavors! I believe the owner was the guy that took our order and he was extremely helpful and friendly. He took the time to explain what he had available and what to expect but he didn’t give himself the credit he deserved as the food turned out to be amazing! This needs more than 5 stars! This is my new favorite!"
"I wish I could give more stars. Food, service, and price were all excellent. Thank you andy! I lucked into this place after arc and will definitely be coming back. Very little open around here this late... I don't like black beans and theirs were delicious. I'm not sure what I ate but it was phenomenal... Do yourself a favor and set your clock for Thursday when they open and try to get there or have it delivered as many times as you can during your thursday, friday, saturday window of opportunity...."
"These guys are fantastic, just working that American dream, you know? When my Cuban abuela and mother immigrated here they brought with them the flavors of home. Other than in my own kitchen, and outside of Miami, these guys cook the next best thing. Traditional style, real garlic, onion, peppers, and slow cooked and braised everything. A gem of a find here and I'll be a regular for sure. I hope someday they are up for and can rise to the change and service a sit down experience full time, but for now, takeout on the weekends will have to do!"
"Taino's is the kitchen and takeout restaurant for authentic Cuban fare up north. It is not a dine-in restaurant. The empanadas were superb and priced right, and the Cuban sandwich was perfect. The chili oil he gave me went well with everything and the dip for the empanadas was great. Both people running the kitchen were pleasant and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed it all and will be back when the Cuban cravings hit."
"@tainos_caribbean is an amazing ghost kitchen in Broomfield. I had run across it a few weeks ago and had really wanted to try it. It’s in a pretty industrial area that was fairly deserted with no large sign so I just went to the only door that looked open. Fortunately they had a small menu in the window to help me identify it. This was my first mofongo so tbf I don’t really have a comparison but this was amazing. Crunchy but soft and savory on the inside. I don’t exactly know what the stewed veggies were but despite being a certified meat eater I didn’t feel like I missed anything. I have had empanadas and arepas before and these were really good. The arepa was a bit unusual to have the protein on top but it was amazing—savory with the familiar lime twang. The mojo pork empanada had a still crunchy pastry despite me driving it home. They had asked and I said it was fine to pack the guava pastry with the empanada. It was a very nice sweet dessert. I had forgotten I wanted to try the Yuca, tostones, and the other entrees so will definitely be back soon."
