Reviews of The Patio at Sloans
"This place when it opened bellowed about the accommodations they have for gluten free food. They have since changed their menu multiple times and I believe chefs as well. They now do not even have gluten friendly fries. It is disappointing to have a place that even had gluten free apps to now very little besides salads are gluten free. The service and bar selection is still great. Amazing location. Wish they could expand their menu to be more inclusive."
"The atmosphere was great, but the food was terrible. I hate to say that. I have never once sent food back, or complained about something I chose to order. I got the beef short rib tacos and all I could taste was the cilantro. I love cilantro, but the meat had no flavor whatsoever. It was so flavorless (and arrived cold). I chose not to eat even half of one taco, let alone all three, which cost me $17.50. My husband got the ground beef tacos which he said were “just okay” and between those two meals and two drinks, we just threw $65 down the drain when we could have spent the same for double the food at Qdoba, for the same types of items. The service was lacking, but I’m definitely more bummed about the food. This place has potential, but I will not be going back."
"My favorite neighborhood go to spot. We live nearby and would be considered "regulars". I love the burger and some other menu items are very good. However on occasion they can be a little inconsistent, in the food. The service has always treated us well and the atmosphere is nice but can be a little loud as the indoor space, all closed up is not very big, with tall echoey ceilings. Overall definitely worth the stop if you're nearby."
"Cool spot, good sports bar vibe, and nice location (Sloan Lake!). The final rating is more of 3.5. We tried the fried pickles, the only gluten free appetizer on the menu. I never understand the love for everything fried, but I have to admit we really enjoyed them. Then, onto burgers. One regular with fries, one with gluten free bun and a ceasar's salad (no croutons). I'd say the dressing on the salad was spot on, and it was the best part of the meal. The burgers were good, nothing special, though. I'd repeat the salad, not the sandwich. I was holding off this review for a while... we had stomach issues afterward, and we couldn't figure out if it was connected to the food or not. However, we couldn't find a different cause. So let's assume 50/50 risk. They advertise that almost everything can be made gluten free on the website, however in reality, the options are limited (it's still enough, but so you know). Not for celiac folks, cross-contamination is easy."
"Ok so they were busy and only had like 2 waitresses so keep that in mind, the food was good, they messed up the first order, I got a chicken sandwich which was accutally really good, but it was advertised as like covered in sauce and was just lightly coated on the top, when I asked for Ghost Pepper Aioli, they had NO idea which sauce was which. This was not the waitresses fault, but the staff could have been more knowledgeable about the product. Maybe go when it's not so busy."
