Cochino Taco

"*Update* Something seems to be changing. Chips no longer served in a paper bag. They seem to have less seasoning. The cotija cheese skirt taco was tasty but cold. I love the crunchy tacos so my wife ordered the beyond beef crunchy tacos and they didn’t taste very good; like the “meat” was devoid of seasoning. It just tasted like the faux meat. Maybe it was just an “off” day. They were rather busy. But Cochino will be taking a back seat for a while when I’m in the area. *old review* Excellent vibes. Delicious and affordable. The paloma contained a proper pour. Got two of each - crunchy tacos, chicken tinga tacos , ratatouille tacos, chips and guac with two Palomas for around $50 incl tip. We need one of these in Superior!"

"5 star taco restaurant! First time coming here, and the service was so welcoming. I ordered a bunch of different tacos, and they were all so good. Price and portions were on point and well worth it. I thank Big John (our server) for such an amazing time. He served us with a great attitude and was always there if we needed anything. If you like spicy salsa, I highly recommend their Spiciest Salsa because it has a real kick to it. I needed two portions of it. If you are visiting Old Town Arvada, I would definitely make a stop here since it's so accessible to walk to."

"Solid destination for many taco options and fully stocked bar with some high end tequilas. I recommend the “shaggy” style tacos which wrap a hard shell with a soft tortilla with bean and cheese between them. Dogs allowed on outside patio."

"Great atmosphere with good service. Our waiter was welcoming and provided help with the menu selections. Only one mistake made on a special order—other than that was accurate, attentive, and fast. The kitchen did a good job. We tried a whole variety of items and were met with different levels of success. The carne asada tacos were fantastic. The barbacoa was quite good. The chips and salsa delicious. The green chili was not the best. I would give it a pass. The margaritas were average. The shaggy carnita tacos were enjoyable. So would we return? Probably not. Portion sizes were on the small side. Some menu items were excellent while others were average. The pork belly tacos were a fail. To be clear this is Mexican influenced food—not authentic Mexican. It seemed like the patio atmosphere might have a good vibe on a busier night and while for us this was too much to spend on a slightly better than average meal, your experience or expectations may be different. Cochino Taco is not to be avoided—it just won’t be on our list of favorites."
