"Amazing food! Our first time visit and we're very impressed with the food. The quality and flavor of all foods ordered was great! We live out of town but will definitely be back in the future. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Every staff person who we encountered was very friendly and helpful."

Chicken is so good and I loved the chicken gravy. I can’t wait to come back and try new things definitely highly recommend!"

"First time here. We didn't wait to be seated, but waited almost 30 minutes for our food. Place is family owned and operated since 1963. It is a large building and inside is just as big! It reminds me of the, "diners," from back East. My husband's salad was the left- over lettuce that you usually throw away and the dressing came in a small plastic container. He ordered the chicken fried steak and it came with a yellow sauce, instead of a creamy white sauce. He didn't like the yellow sauce, but said the chicken was good. We also received 2 slices of Texas toast that had a funny taste (margarine or maybe old oil) and greasy. I ordered their fried chicken, what they are known for. I can see why they have a large dedicated take-out area and huge following. The chicken was moist and tender inside, with a delicious crispy coating that wasn't greasy! So I highly recommend their fried chicken."

"We were looking for a non-chain, home- cooked meal. WE FOUND IT! We started with livers & gizzards and proceeded to the chicken and shrimp meal. The finally was the homemade coconut pineapple ice cream. Everything was delicious. We only got a picture of the appetizers- too busy enjoying the rest to remember to take pictures! The owner and waitress were friendly and suggested just what we were craving! This is a must try restaurant!"

"This isn’t your typical family restaurant because it’s really a family run Fried Chicken restaurant largely. You come here for the fried chicken and will be convinced of that decision the moment you enter. The fried chickens were crispy without a layer of fat sitting between the meat and skin. The gravy provided was the icing on the cake. BTW the coleslaw was very good. Our server Margaret was courteous and attentive at all times. This meal would count as one of the highlights of our trip."
