Reviews of Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver International Airport
"TLDR; Not a bad place to stay outside of a few gripes, but in my opinion way more expensive than it should be. First, the good: As others have mentioned, the rooms are spacious and would be great for a longer-term stay. Ours had a kitchen with a full size fridge, some dishes, and plenty of other homey amenities. The rooms were also clean and comfortable for our one-night stay. The service was mostly unremarkable but fine, and the breakfast was pretty good. Now, the bad: First, when we arrived it the tail end of a significant snow storm. We chose to stay near the airport than risk the drive back to Castle Rock, where roads were much worse. The parking lot of the hotel, though, was poorly cleared for vehicles. This location also doesn't have a good pull-in for the office, and the only available space had a clearly unattended vehicle parked for the night. We parked in at least ankle-deep snow and trudged our luggage inside. As I imagine many guests who stay near the airport, we got in quite late in the evening. We wanted to eat, take showers, and get some rest. Unfortunately, the hot water in the shower never got hot. It wasn't ice cold, but still unpleasant particularly in the winter during a snow storm. The tub also didn't drain very well, and accumulated a good amount of water before activating the shower head. During the night, there was some sort of low mechanical noise that, while not incredibly loud, was enough to somewhat prevent me from going back to sleep. In the morning, the live TV channels didn't have a signal for most of the time we were there. A smaller gripe: check-out is at noon, which is great! But breakfast is 6am to 9am. Again, not a huge deal, but if you're getting in from the airport very late, you don't want to have to wake up early just to make sure you don't miss the breakfast. Finally, we would not have used it this trip, but their pool and hot tub are closed for six months for maintenance. Overall, not a bad place to stay, but they seem to be charging based on their proximity to the airport and the size of their rooms. We paid about $350 for one night and I would not do so again."
"The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the full fridge, stovetop and dishwasher. The Continental breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Friendly and accommodating staff. The hotel layout was a bit of a doozy, depending on where your room is it could be a 10 minute walk to get there. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use the pool, or the tennis/basketball court, but these are great amenities for families."
"Nice place. Easy access. For a meeting, it was great! Not so sure I would use this location as a "vacation destination", but I'm sure other locations would serve admirably. Even with all the extra stuff I bring, I was definitely not crowded!"
"8.5 miles from the airport and a $57 taxi ride got us to our hotel. We got in late and left early, so not much interaction. What I can say is the rooms were very big, clean and the beds, very comfortable for the 4 hours we slept on them. The breakfast buffet was well presented, the supplies plentiful, and the staff maintained the buffet, so everything looked clean."
"Pretty solid breakfast buffet, basic but good. The checkin/out process was smooth. The shuttle driver Charles did a great job in the winter storm getting us to the airport safely and comfortably. Room was clean and spacious with a decent kitchenette."
