Walmart Pharmacy

"I pulled into the drive thru and waited several minutes. I was never greeted. I pressed the call button. No one responded. I sent my ID and method of payment in the canister. A car pulled into the other lane. They were greeted after seconds. I still had not been greeted. One of my prescriptions along with my ID and payment method was sent back to me. I still had not heard from anyone. I needed other prescriptions and I had a question. I pressed the call button again. The other car had been greeted, helped and were leaving by the time I heard from someone over the speaker. I asked why I hadn’t been helped. I was told by Jennifer that there was a “freakin’ huge line” inside. I told her that the other car had been helped and they were leaving. She responded, “And”? She said even if I didn’t like it, that was the way she handled it. I have this entire interaction recorded on a video."

"Best experience with a pharmacy! We recently switched over from King Soopers pharmacy and Walmart's pharmacy is so much better! Our prescriptions are filled fast, I get text notifications when they're ready (something I signed up for with Kings multiple times and still never received!), and the texts even tell you how much it will be. So glad we switched over!"

"I do like the staff and the pharmacists, I also have no complaints about the service I receive. I do have one comment/complaint about the automatic refill notifications. I have several medications I have taken for years due to a chronic condition. My doctors usually write them for six month to a year, after which they write a new one when the prescription expires. The Walmart pharmacy automatic refill notifications do not happen once a prescription expires - despite them being long-term medications. This has resulted in my running out of critical heart medications when I do not track them well due to a busy life. How hard would it be to send a notification they need to contact the doctors office for a refill in time to prevent running out? I can answer that - it would not be very hard. CVS and Walgreens do it. 'Cmon Walmart IT people, it's 2023, please update your automatic refill system."
