Reviews of The Apothecary at Wardenburg Health Center
"- called for adhd/depression med refill - didn't fill it - left me without medication for some time while I had to get it figured out. also idk if this is a bad cu policy but for people like me who struggle with adhd and stuff, I *HATE* the policy where you need to call to refill meds. the pharmacist was extremely judgmental and made a comment about if I really needed the medication when I started crying because of *their* mistake and also the fact that medication is too expensive, also the medication I was prescribed is something that is commonly misused but I NEED IT FOR MY ADHD AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF PEOPLE LIKE YOUR PHARMACISTS TREATING ME LIKE A DANGEROUS PERSON BECAUSE I NEED A MEDICATION TO FUNCTION I hate how part of my tuition is going to this terrible health center. this will be the last time I'm ever going to the pharmacy. I'm going to king soopers with goodrx. the apothecary is overpriced and a terribly run pharmacy"
"Staff is nice until they fill your prescription wrong, then they get very mean and just repeat that “the system says we filled it” when my medication doses say the opposite"
"If you can, get your prescriptions from ANY OTHER PHARMACY in Boulder, ESPECIALLY if you rely on a daily medication! Be careful. If you rely on having a prescription that has tight refill procedures, your health will be compromised if you chose to go here. It doesn’t matter if you call ahead, it doesn’t matter if they say it’s ready for pick up, you will end up waiting at least 30 or 40 minutes while you watch the staff standing around talking, eating, and playing patty cake (not an exaggeration, something I watched today)."
"Under renovation right now, and in tight quarters, this pharmacy is making the best of their situation. Students try to fix difficult insurance problems, and regularly have to order in prescriptions because of the small size of the pharmacy. Overall staff is really nice and helpful and always try and fix your problems."
"Customer service is poor when there is a problem with your prescription order. I ordered a prescription refill on Monday. The automated phone system said it would be ready same day. I came in two days later on Wednesday to pick it up, only to be told that it needed "prior authorization," so they then tried to contact my doctor, who was unavailable at that moment. Why wasn't this sorted out on Monday when I originally put in the order? The student employees at the customer service desk seemed completely uninterested and unsympathetic. I understand that hiccups with insurance are the norm at pharmacies these days, but I would have appreciated a simple apology or at least a better explanation."
