Reviews of Devil's Kitchen
"We celebrated Valentines’ a day early by having dinner here. The ambience and view are beautiful and we enjoyed it initially, with high hopes for a great-if very pricey- meal. $45-48 for steak means tender and savory meat with unique & delicious side dishes, right? Sadly, no. Our server, Brady, gave us decent service but when I asked exactly what “cellar mash” was, he did not know- nor did he try to find out. It was an odd beige pile of fibrous root veggie (parsnips?) with chunks of under cooked potato. Neither of us liked it. My Bison Flatiron Steak was ordered Med-rare and came Extra-rare and full of gristle. After chewing and chewing small bites and sawing away, I sent it back to the kitchen. The Agave Carrots were very undercooked and not good. My husband liked his Sirloin- it was fairly tender- and shared it with me while waiting for my replacement. He finished and voila! - finally my Flatiron was delivered. This time it was tender, yahoo. No comp or discount was offered for our inconvenience. Sorry, but a mere verbal apology isn’t enough at such prices. The Palisade pear-apple wine was smooth and dry. The House Blend red was good. We might return for the novelty of a deck-top gondola, for appetizers and drinks, but not for a meal. Disappointed."
"Went here last night for my sister’s 24th birthday and it was AMAZING!! Best food in town and the service was AMAZING!! Laura was our server and she was the best!! She was so kind and always making sure we were well taken care of! We sat in the snowglob and it was the best atmosphere! I’m so happy to have found this wonderful place in town that has awesome food and drinks! The peach mule was hands down the best drink I’ve ever had! If you are thinking about going here just do it you won’t be disappointed!! And They gave us complimentary champagne and cake for free for her birthday!!"
"The lobster and waffles was phenomenal. I've never had anything like it. The deviled eggs were a little chewy, but the flavor was on point. Eating in the gondola was romantic and warm. They provide blankets! So don't let a chilly night dissuade you. Our server was on it! Wish I could remember her name."
"Went there for my birthday. The food was delicious, service was great. We seat on the patio on December they have private gondola outside. To make your night special."
"Our server Ella was fantastic and really made dinner a very nice experience. I loved they there were Colorado wines on the menu and enjoyed a lovely Albariño. Ella suggested the bison tamale which was very interesting. We liked the insides but the masa was too thick. She’d noticed that too and offered to share the info with the kitchen. We also had some very spicy chili which was delicious. The beet and tomato salad was fine but not exceptional. If you are staying in the hotel, this is a fine restaurant. I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to go here."
