"I've been going to Briargate Dental Center for nine years. Dr. Baumgardner has been very professional and knowledgeable. Two instances have turned me off of this practice, and I won't be going back. The first was when I needed a root canal. The endodontist he referred me to was extremely rude and refused to do the procedure because I am being treated for A-fib. I was devastated and left the office in tears. I had requested time off work for the root canal and arranged for my adult daughter to take me home afterward. The doctor was very rude to my daughter and chased her out of the office when she went back inside to get a letter of verification for my work. I told Dr. Baumgardner about my horrible experience, and he defended his friend. I asked him for a referral to a different endodontist, and he refused. I had to find my own endodontist. Then, when that doctor requested my records from Dr. Baumgardner, he would not send them. The second incident happened more recently. Due to road construction on Woodman Road, I was running late to a cleaning appointment. I was in constant contact with the front office regarding this, giving them frequent updates to my arrival time. They reminded me that their policy was to allow patients only ten minutes before cancelling the appointment. I repeatedly explained that I was stuck in rush hour traffic on I25 and then on road construction on Woodman. When I was 13 minutes late, a mere three minutes after the cutoff, they refused to see me. When this was brought to Dr. Baumgartner attention later, his attitude was basically, "Yeah, I heard about that. Oh well." He never even apologized."
