"I took the full day tour of the Rocky Mountain National Park with Ryan. Ryan is a terrific guide and he is very known about birds. I had a fantastic day and spotted a lot of birds, wildlife and Ryan knew that I was a skater so told me to bring my skates and found a nice frozen lake that I could skate on. We had some great conversations and I would love to do another birding tour with Ryan during another season in Colorado or somewhere else. I loved that he was flexible and matched his enthusiasm of birds with my knowledge. I’m more a beginner birder and come more from a photography interest than science. But he was very accommodating. I’ve shared some photos that was taken on my iPhone but Ryan took some shots with his great camera and if you don’t have a telephoto camera yourself you will get some great photos from Ryan. Thank you Ryan. See you birding next time!"
"I booked the birdingman adventures after reading so many amazing reviews and it was totally worth it. I wanted my first National Park experience to be a memorable one and it totally was. Not only did I enjoy the hike by itself, I acquired a new fascination with birds in general. Ryan was patient and extremely knowledgable. He pointed out all the birds, animals while on the hike, provided interesting titbits about colorado and Rocky Mountains, answered all my questions and was fun to hangout with. I am glad I did not book one of those big group adventure packages because I wouldn’t have had as much fun and learning through that. The most memorable part was definitely when the little mountain chickadee landed on my foot. Icing on the cake was definitely the detour we took to find a quiet place to enjoy the silence."
"My friend and I were heading out to Colorado for the National Audubon conference and decided to come early and bird. Ryan was recommended to us and that proved to be a terrific tip. Ryan picked us up at our hotel and proposed a different trip than we had originally asked for as he thought we'd see better birds, and he was right. We had a terrific day birding in the Boulder area, lots of waterbirds and shore birds. HIghlights were an Avocet, Baird's Sandpiper (5! Lifers) four Ferruginous hawks, (lifer), Western Meadowlark, (lifer), whole flocks of Cackling Geese, hundreds of Coots, in total 6 life birds that day. I am an avid eastern birders, so even in the west, getting new life birds isn't that easy. Ryan was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. He made the day a real pleasure."
"Ryan was awesome, and I can't recommend him highly enough. We weren't sure what to expect because this was our first birding tour, but we had an outstanding time. Spending the day with Ryan was like spending the day with an old friend. We had great conversations, explored beautiful secluded areas, and learned a ton about Colorado wildlife, local vegetation, and the history of the area. Ryan also showed us several apps to help identify species and to keep track of the birds we've seen. Now we're excited to start going on birding adventures in our own region. Next time we make a trip to CO, we'll most definitely book another tour with Ryan. It was the highlight of our vacation!"
"We had a fantastic time with Ryan on our private Jeep tour of the Rockies. He was super knowledgeable about all of the local wildlife and terrains. Overall the tour exceeded our expectations and was one of our favorite parts of the trip to Denver — would highly recommend!"
