"Beautiful and nice AERA... But, rooms smelled like a old folks retirement home, lighting seems to yellow, very hard to do Puzzles..lol.also rooms have NO Tv's.. I think it should be included with price!..even if you can't watch something, use smart tvs so we can stream to it.."
"We had a great time staying at the Pack Creek Ranch. We initially booked the Gate House which was an awesome, remodeled unit that featured a snazzy master bedroom, a main living area, and a den area with a murphy bed, couch, and loft to another bed above. The main bathroom was really nice with his and hers showerheads. The other bathroom had a snazzy copper with mountain views. Neighbors that lived there full time brought us vegetables from the garden which my wife loved. There's a goat farm with 2 friendly goats that our boy loved feeding directly behind the unit. Our dogs loved pestering them, which is not advised. Only downside to this unit was the TV is in the den and can't be used easily if someone is sleeping in there. We loved the area so much we ended up renting another unit around the corner called the Lodge. It was considerably larger, having once doubled I believe as the mess hall for the staff when it operated as a ranch. It had a nice bedroom bath area with TV and a cubby for an extra person to sleep by the kitchen. Big draw here was the huge living room area (another TV), kitchen, and patio overlooking the creek (huge applies to all three areas). We spent mornings on the patio sipping coffee and just enjoying the outdoor space before gearing up to ride motorcycles daily. The wifi was solid at both locations which meant our phones worked and I could login and get my work chores done before hitting the trails. There's some history here of Edward Abby, a well know author "environmentalist writer", and a lot of his works featured around the property as décor that drove me to download his audio book Dessert Solitaire for the drive home. The ranch in general is awesome. It's ~20 minutes up the road from Moab proper towards the La Sal mountains. The climb upwards and location in a valley on the creek makes it much cooler than Moab proper. There's plush grass everywhere, a solid indoor hot tub at the pool house, and a pool that was a bit chilly in late September. Our contacts where both helpful...thanks Dan and Nick for being great hosts. We loved Moab so much, we expect to come back every year. We will definitely hope to stay at Pack Creek Ranch. I'm adding a few pics (mostly baby focused) to showcasing the adventure and charm."
"Comfortable rustic cabins about 20 minutes drive away from the town of Moab. Nice view of La Sal mountains. Very quiet area. Each of the cabins here is different and apparently linked to different mgmt companies. Pleasantly surprised that temperatures in this valley were generally 10 degrees cooler than in Moab in Sept. We stayed in the 'Farm house' via Airbnb. We made our own meals. Wifi worked. Pool was a short walk away and a bit strange with sloped sides, but was fine. The one tiny window A/C worked fine for Fall time, but I'd be concerned about the heat in the middle of summer. (Other larger cabins have larger A/C's). There was a wildfire very nearby in the summer of 2021. The primary concern about that is the new threat of flash floods across the only access road to this area. The nearby easy 4x4 trails called Geyser Pass and La Sal Pass were both still closed due to the wildfire a couple months ago."
"This place is fantastic. If you're looking for a large space to live while away from home, that has the middle of nowhere feel but only sits 20 minutes away from the closest town, then Pack Creek Ranch is perfect. We were staying in The Lodge. They say it is good for 3 people but the reality is you could have twice that and possibly never see them. It's huge and way more than we had expected. All the guests on the ranch were respectful and easy going. Obviously this is a case of your mileage will vary given the guests aren't going to always be the same. Great place and we hope to return."
