"The pool itself is nice for both lap swimming and for young kids and the lifeguards are really nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the supervisor isn't great with communicating rules, nor are the higher ups willing to hear people out. I went here to practice butterfly and do different dolphin kick exercises with one of my monofins. This is not a knockoff but a safe, quality piece of equipment. I have ten years of swim experience and I specifically took a SSI mermaid certification so that I'd know advanced techniques and safety in all conditions. I was doing my best to stay out of anyone's way to avoid accidentally bonking into people. I also do not attempt any long breath holds and I always breathe at least once per 25 meters and take breaks to rest and drink water. For the record I did everything right safety wise Everyone was 100% fine with it for several weeks when I went in for workouts but one day, the supervisor told a lifeguard to kick me out. I offered to do a swim skills test and show my SSI mermaid certification but unfortunately they said no. The lifeguard was nice but the supervisor's responses made me feel really unwelcome and had no explanation. I know different pools have different rules so usually I check those but it wasn't on the website at all and nobody informed me until some random Saturday. Considering the way it was handled it kinda seems like it never actually was a valid safety concern and more like something that people just made up out of the blue. I'm still gonna give 4 stars since the pool is nice for kids and the rest of the staff are genuinely so nice and chill but if you do mermaid training or any sort of butterfly with fins training I'd reccommend you go somewhere else. Who knows what they'll ban next with no warning and no official rule. Bifins? Kickboards? Pull buoys? I wouldn't be surprised."
"Took months to get a spot in a beginner swimming class. Waited weeks for the class to start, only to have it cancelled 3 hours before the first session because they failed to secure an instructor (that’s not something they do before offering a class??). You made a little kid cry, good job."

"Can't seem to open on time consistently, despite the hours listed here on Google. Was in this morning and had to leave because it was already 15 past 6am, just a crowd of people standing at the door. Management is never here and even when they are, they are dismissive. Shame on Parks and Rec."
