Hong's Garden Chinese Restaurant

"Was very disappointed in the other Chinese restaurants in Durango when I first moved to Durango. Thought I'd just have to suffer without a good option in town until I heard about Hong's. Best Chinese restaurant in the region. I live in Durango, but will make the drive if I am feeling the craving for some Chinese. Was very glad someone was doing it right nearby."

"Hongs Garden is a great place to go for dinner in Bayfield. There is ample seating and a very pleasant lady named Monica who waited on us. We were happy with her suggestion if fried rice with our meal. This was my husband's first time to have fried rice and yes he is sold on it. He had Mongolian Beef and I enjoyed Chicken in Garlic Sauce. Highly recommend both of these meals. Portion size was enough that we each asked for a take home box."

"Simple, unpretentious but excellent Chinese flavors and cooking techniques, such as you would hope for in a restaurant of this kind. The chicken with garlic sauce was superb, though order it extra spicy. Ask for their hot chili oil—an excellent complement to all the dishes."

"We stopped here for lunch while passing through town. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes and the super friendly staff. I had the lunch serving of General Tso’s chicken and I was shocked when a heaping plate of freshly prepared food arrived at the table. It was absolutely delicious and, for the price, an awesome deal! I will definitely return to this location in the future."
