"Very good food, great service and atmosphere with lovely bright farmhouse decor made this one of the best dining experiences we've ever had at an Ames, Iowa restaurant. Must be popular as there was a little bit of a wait, so would suggest calling ahead to make a reservation. The wait staff was very attentive. Food came to the table very quickly and we enjoyed the visit with the manager who stopped by our table to welcome us. Enjoyed the eclectic choices on the menu as we plan to visit again and try something new each time. Husband enjoyed the chicken fried steak and eggs and my "Frenchie" sandwich of ham and provolone between French toast was delicious! Portions were so large we needed a to go box. Plan a breakfast or brunch visit to the place as it won't disappoint!"
"The food is always served up hot, fast, delicious- Making it worth the wait because we don’t have to wait for the food. You won’t go away hungry- portions are plentiful. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The owner walks around and greets people and asks how they’re doing which is nice. This has become our new favorite Sunday tradition!"
