Reviews of Goodwill Store & Donation Center
"If you're like me and you have gastrointestinal issues, I wouldn't advise shopping here. In order to use the restroom, you have to go the front registers and wait to get someones help, and they have to walk you to the restroom and put in a code in order to let you in. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. You feel like you in some kind of prison. They really should be ashamed of themselves to treat their patrons this way. I will not be donating here and ill take my money elsewhere."
"First of all, they shut down their fitting rooms permanently and only offer returns for store credit within 14 days. Prices are high enough that I would never buy a pair of pants that I couldn't try on or get my money back for. Furthermore, the organization of the store is quite chaotic. Other thrift stores organize by type, size, color, season, sleeve length--but this store the best you get is by size and gender, maybe type. Even then there are no signs, you have to look at each rack for the tiny dividers indicating S,M,L. Exhausting when all I want is a long-sleeved sweater and have to look through half the store. Lastly, there was literally ONE circular rack of children's clothes of all sizes. The cashier explained that they hadn't gotten many donations lately, but I visited two other thrift stores in the area that had plenty of children's clothes. I wouldn't be concerned except that last summer, as I was making a donation, an employee mentioned to me that women's clothes are the money-makers. My donation was mostly children's clothes. I hope an organization that claims to be charitable realizes that clothing children can be expensive and taxing for single mothers who are some of the most vulnerable members of our population."
"These prices are unbelievablyyy high. The other day, I found a cold press juice bottle here (one you get from WONDER Press Juices) without a lid marked at $3.50! People normally just toss these. And there are used Dollar Tree items marked above the $1.25 price at Dollar Tree. I’ve seen IKEA canisters here for the same original price. I then see other people in different areas posting their cheaper, higher-quality finds all the time so this is not all due to inflation."
"The circular racks are absolute trash. They are impossible to look through, and the stores don’t care about organizing them properly. A chaotic style of clothing on random racks."
"If you’re looking for clothes, you’re better off going to the ARC on Sheridan and 36. They’ve closed the fitting rooms so you can’t try anything on, and their return policy is store credit only. So you’re likely to return stuff and get into an endless loop of not actually liking what you buy once you try it on. Used to be a great store but it really sucks now."
