Reviews of Goodwill Store & Donation Center
"The prices at this goodwill are absurd. It’s so bad that I can purchase some items brand new for significantly less at Walmart. Just this last week, I came in to purchase some Christmas decorations for next year and their in store marketing sign said 50% off, but when I went to check out the cashier said the items weren’t on sale despite being an obvious Christmas item. The one credit that I will give the store is that it is clean, but the lack of ability to use the restroom and dressing rooms leave something to be desired."
"We drove in to Durango from NM and decided to stop here first on our way in. Two of the six of us needed to go to the bathroom. Both bathrooms had a “Family Bathroom” sign on it but one was out of order & the other was “Employees only” with a code pad on it. When we asked to maybe use that, it was a solid “no” from the employee. The store seems decent enough but was bummed to find that with Goodwill being the biggest thrift store chain in America, they couldn’t even have a functional bathroom for the public. Kind of a joke of a store if you ask me."
"Went pants shopping and realized after I had an arm full of pants that you can't try them on. They closed the dressing rooms... I put my pants back and walked out. It's very difficult to find pants that fit just right and if I can't try them on first I'm not buying. Going somewhere else."
"Horrible management and customer service and overpriced!! I wanted to buy this jacket for my daughter and the tag fell off the worker took the item from me and said she can’t sell it to me and she will have to take it in the back to be re-tagged. I asked to please ask the manager if she could just reprice it my daughter really wanted this for Xmas. The worker came back and said “she said NO, it will be put to the back of the pile and it will take a week to get re-tagged” so she wants me to come back at the end of the week and look through 10 messy racks again to find this jacket when it would of taken her 10sec to re-tag? You have a paying customer who wants to buy something and they say no? Who is running this place and where are their customer service skills? I also donated 4 huge garbage bags of clothes and 3 big boxes of stuff the day before to support their business and that’s how I’m treated? I will take my donations elsewhere and buy from somewhere who will take my money when trying to buy something, instead of being told to come back at the end of the week to find this jacket In a needle in a haystack again. Then when I was in there they had Walmart women’s shirts priced at $10?!?!? Walmart shirts are like 7-$10 new?!? Completely overpriced for their clothes there. Will never shop here again and they will not get my donations again!! Shop else where"
"I’ve been a loyal customer for years but, sadly, I will no longer be purchasing clothes from goodwill anymore. The prices have become outrageous and customers no longer have access to dressing rooms. They do let you return them if they do not fit, but here’s the kicker… for STORE CREDIT. What a scam. Everything else is overpriced too. It’s actually insulting. Goodwill has become just like the rest of them… taking advantage of the consumer and not living up to their own charitable morals. Don’t forget you’re still a donations based thrift store, Goodwill."
