"I can't express how much I fell in love with this place tonight. Every food item is good! Service is fast & all staff will help collectively. I love team work. The place is also very well kept. Definitely worth every penny."
"I can honestly say this is the first sushi spot in Denver that has made me rethink my favorite since 2018 (when Uchi first opened) — and being a huge lover of sushi, I take that statement very seriously. Hana Matsuri the 3rd of the family-owned Hana Matsuri locations in Colorado, but it is distinctly different, both in atmosphere and food. Under the direction of renowned Chef Duy Pham (with 30+ years of experience in Colorado restaurants) — this spot has truly blossomed. The standout is that this location offers a phenomenal omakase (of 20-ish creative pieces) for just $150/person! Think anything from the most delectable flame-seared toro, to monkfish liver, to uni & caviar on oysters. PRO TIP: you must call 1-2 days in advance to request the omakase menu, and it’s only offered at 6 or 8pm. Even if you don’t come for the omakase, the other options here are AMAZING. I’ve been shoveling sushi in my face for many years, and there are fish being flown in fresh here that I’ve never even heard of. For example, I had flying fish (tobiuo) for the first time! Not to be missed are also the aburi options (a specialty of theirs). Aburi means lightly-seared with a flame, and I think it’s the best way to keep fish raw, but bring out more flavor. Toro tuna and salmon belly are the obvious choices (pictured), but there’s also lobster, scallop, escolar, and more. Even for non-fish people, there’s something delicious here. Try the hot rock — which comes with an option of kobe beef, truffle duck, lamb chop, or chicken tenders. The fluffy molten chocolate “cake” definitely made the “worth it” list, despite my gluten intolerance. Must try!"
"This place was incredible! We came for omakase this afternoon after seeing some great reviews for the restaurant. The weather looked rough so we asked to change the reservation time and they were incredibly accommodating. The food was THE BEST omakase / sushi I have ever had. The courses were all amazing with incredible combinations and flavors. The omakase came with a complimentary cocktail and specialty dessert. Both were incredible and were a great way to start and end the experience. The head chef was an an awesome person with great stories. He put so much care and attention into every course. You can tell everyone here cares so much and takes their time to make the occasion special. I have so much respect for the chefs and the hosts. If you’re looking for a great time with incredible food, this is the place to try. This is seriously the best “food memory” I’ve had. P.S. - the lobster bisque is AMAZING."
"I recently visited Hana Matsuri in the Cherry Creek area for lunch, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The quiet ambiance makes it suitable for lunch meetings. They offer affordable lunch specials, and I tried a $13 combo with two sushi varieties and miso soup. While the miso soup wasn't impressive, the veggie rolls stood out with vibrant flavors and a delicious dipping sauce. The Philly sushi, stuffed with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese, was a highlight, as was the tasty shrimp tempura. Although it may not become a regular sushi spot for me, I recommend Hana Matsuri for those seeking a reasonably priced lunch with great value and taste."
"The server (Jordan) was incredibly friendly and efficient. The sushi was very fresh and prepared with excellence and care. The price was excellent per quality and quantity. I would recommend this to anyone in the area and will be back the next time I'm in Denver. The special nigiri was incredible, definitely look at that section of the menu! Best sushi I've had since being in Japan."
