Sushi Aji

"10/10 ✨Hidden Gem Absolutely love this sushi place. It’s right by my work so I feel incredibly grateful. They have a wide selection of rolls at affordable prices. It’s honestly the best place I’ve found in terms of price and quality in and outside of the Denver area. I am obsessed with the Dynamite Roll. It is lightly deep fried with eel and cream cheese inside. On top, they drizzle eel and spicy mayo sauce and top it off with tobiko. I also love their lunch specials (pick two or pick three roll options) and their vegetarian rolls. They even have options for people who may really not like sushi or want more options… like the Kobe Beef Roll (it’s awesome and has soy paper). I also have tried their Volcano Roll and it was phenomenal. The service is always great and everyone is so kind every time I go. It is nowhere near WholeFoods or Grocery Store sushi by any means. If you think it is, maybe you just haven’t tried enough sushi to really make that kind of statement (commenting on a previous review) because that is just ridiculous. I’ve truly never had a bad experience here and I’ve eaten at Sushi Den & Uchi Denver for context. This place is outstanding all around."

"My wife and I love this place so I thought I should finally do a review. Sushi Aji is located in a very unassuming strip mall, but don’t let that dissuade you from giving this place a chance. The staff is extremely courteous and professional, and does a great job of anticipating your needs instead of reacting to your requests. The atmosphere is somewhat understated, but classy and you can see the sushi bar from most of the tables. We have tried everything from California rolls and spider rolls to the Bento lunchboxes, and even some udon noodle dishes. occasionally, I will even get a specialty role like the Playboy or the dragon roll ,all of which are delicious with a presentation that is wonderful and usually reserved for much more expensive sushi restaurants. They have a great selection of sake, and several Japanese beers that come in various sizes. To be truthful we usually get the less expensive hot sake because that’s actually what we enjoy the most, but have gotten other chilled sakes that were more expensive and also delicious. Overall, I think it is a good value for quality sushi and cocktails in an area of town that is relatively devoid of restaurants like this. Give Sushi Aji a try and you won’t be disappointed."

"Easily the best sushi we’ve had in the Denver area. Absolutely to die for, especially the specialty rolls! We get steamed dumplings, miso soup, and rolls and sake and it’s always the highlight of our week. Really kind staff as well."

"Friendly service, fresh food, and good portions. The seaweed salad was actually big enough for the 3 of us to share! The bento boxes are a good deal as they come with salad, gyoza, and a roll. Lots of free parking."
