"Initially i felt the dr was working to assist me with my mental health. The perscription i was given was benefiting my initial needs. There were side effects i tried to discuss with him but they were dismissed with a clear statement they werent from the medication. Also i would need a referal to look into that further. I spoke with my dentist who said he spoke with the dr concerning my concern and informed me he got the same responce. My side effects are clearly listed on many websites due to the medication i am on. I feel put off and not taken seriously. I have reduced the medication independant of the dr assistant to find out if my hunch is right. Because he wasnt willing to discuss the possibility it was due to the medication. Overall i feel hurt that i have to take this direction but tired of paying doctors to tell me my research and own physical symptoms are not at all correct. Despite a referal from general practitioner to this dr. And my dentist who was confirming resulting issues i have been having to this dr. I cant see rehashing over and over to one dr to another. If there is any dr who can guess what i am talking about and be willing to assist me id welcome their interest. Too tired of hoping the next dr will follow through as we tackle my issues not discredit my input."

"Dr. Vivek Anand was on his phone the majority of my visit and can't remember a large portion of our appointment which messed up my medication plan. My girlfriend was in the appointment with me and I reached out to him to try and set things right. He called me personally trying to defend himself and called me and my girlfriend liars. He only prescribed medications that were already ineffective for me. I do not recommend him at all as a psychiatrist and wish I could do more to help people from seeing him. He wanted to see me again in 6 weeks but I couldn't make an appointment until 8 weeks. He gave some biased and inaccurate information and did not help me at all. I felt like just another paycheck for him and I am glad I did not go in alone. If you feel the need to go see him I would ask to see if you can record the appointment because he lied to me and my girlfriend and then denied that the conversation even happened. Very unprofessional and if my girlfriend wasn't there he would have made me feel like a crazy person. That is the worst thing a psychiatrist could do for a patient."

"Doctor/nurses were absolutely worthless in returning calls, when the call was returned, it was either nothing in which you asked for or something worse. Happy to say I took my time to someone else that gladly helps me out. Don't recommend to anyone. Good luck."

"The staff, physicians and psychologists here are the best. They care about you as a whole and follow up with you. If prescriptions are needed those are also taken care of in a timely manner. I wouldn’t go anywhere else."

"The staff here is grossly incompetent. Doctors are often not informed properly of key info needed about their patients. It has resulted in prescriptions not getting properly filled on time for my family. If you enjoy spending hours at the pharmacy while you wait for Avera to piece things together, this is the place for you. If you value your time, look elsewhere."
