"I was shipping a somewhat larger item and got a quote online from UPS, including plenty of extra weight and dimensions to account for packaging and such. The quote included declared value and everything. I took it into this UPS store, expecting a markup and a cost for packing. It was exorbitant. Over three times the shipping cost plus over $50 for a box and peanuts. They may have other good services, but unless you like throwing your money away, don’t take anything there to be shipped. No wonder these stores are popping up everywhere. Apparently you can make money hand over fist by gouging your customers."
