Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom

"Went in one night, out of almost all drinks and several menu items. Was given a coupon for a free large pizza for the trouble. Went back before it expired and was charged 18 bucks for what was supposed to be a free pizza. Coupon said free large, no stipulations such as one topping only or specifics like that. Paid for it anyways cuz that was the dinner plan. Pizza was roughly thrown together and not quality. Will never go back to this location or any others ever again. Very disappointed all around."

"Their calzones are excellent. Their spaghetti is good too, especially if you like meatballs. Our server was friendly and personable. I can't say there was anything that really stood out, or anything that really blew my mind, but I can't complain either. Good place to eat if you like Italian food."

"We got the veggie pizza, added chicken on thin crust. The crust was delicious, but the pizza was dry. They threw crumbled very dried bits of chicken on top of the pizza. The veggies were good and fresh except for the artichoke leaves, again dry. I just think it needed more sauce or something. It also needed the Parmesan garlic mix to bump up the flavor."

"This review comes after the last 4 visits. I ordered food with 2 friends. They received their food together but my food didn't come out. I thought maybe mine will be out shortly... the waiter came and checked on us 20 minutes later and asked how everything was... I was like "um I never got my food and my friends are basically done eating" no apology or anything, he asked if I wanted it to go... Also that was the only time he checked on us. We wanted to grab another beer but not only was the waiter not around we literally did not see him at all. The next 3 visits were all for online orders. I live 2 blocks from here so we order food for pickup. Generally it gives us a time frame of when the order will be ready. The first time it gave us a time of 6pm, we arrived at 6pm and the order was not ready until 630... The next two times same thing but worse, the food was suppose to be ready at 530pm and I showed up at 545pm and ended up waiting until 615pm... No sorry or anything. I really enjoy old Chicago but the service has really gone down hill. Im generally forgiving in certain circumstances but when there is no explanation or even a sorry I have to draw a line ESPECIALLY when its not even on multiple occasions but consecutive experiences."
