"My truck lost 4-wheel drive...so I took it in for repairs. It had to be 6-7 months ago, they replaced the shaft to my transfer case. Turns out that the shaft went out again and they replaced it. There was no charge to me. Point being that a less honorable shop could've told me something in the case broke and needed extensive repairs, and I probably would've had it done.
