Reviews of Big O Tires
"I brought my truck in for an alignment. I felt they were trying to upsell me and weren't telling the truth about my truck's condition. I also asked them to rotate my tires and they didn't. I essentially paid over $100 for nothing. I guess I should be happy, because they were trying to get over $1,100 for a full alignment. I will not be going back to this establishment. I would not recommend it to anyone. I don't write many reviews, but I really felt I needed to write one for this place. I don't like rip off artists."
"I went big O yesterday to get a nail in my tire fixed, but the guy there who I’ve known for years even beyond big o said that they couldn’t help me because I needed a special lug nut key that would cost me $60-$100. Mind you I have my toddler son so I’m a little emotional they didn’t have a care in the world even after I told them, I needed to get up to cedaredge to celebrate Christmas with my family, so I went to discount tire and they gave me that special lug nut key for free that was supposedly $60-$100 and discount tire didn’t charge me a thing they knew about my situation and told me merry Christmas and sent me on my way, so I will never go to big O again !"
"Busy day. All bays were full. But they found time for me. Sent a self entitled boy who tried to cut in front of the line to the back where he belonged. I won't forget that. Great people. Great work."
"As far as sales pitch, their friendly and convincing enough. But For being my usual goto place they definitely disappointed me. After spending $2,300 for new tires. They forgot to put the old ones back in the bed like i asked. He said sorry we have new employees we’re training. (Do they hire new employees and train them while they work on customers vehicles?!) They later did, so not a big deal. I park the truck. This morning im taking it in to dealer for a check up. The rear driver tire is low. After closer inspection i found they didn’t even tighten the valve stem. And all tires were different pressure. Like they just rushed with no profesional care or quality. Definitely disappointed with this store :( Update: the Next morning I am taking a trip to Denver. Im driving through south Glenwood canyon when the same tire starts to drop pressure like a rock. Luckily i was about 10-15 minutes away from the BigO in Glenwood. I make it there after almost two hours they fixed my valve. The technician said the valve was broken. And the technicians at Montrose big O over torqued my lug nuts. Where I also realized the special spline for my lug nuts was missing. Idk if they forgot to put back in my truck or kept it. Luckily they had one. When I arrived in Denver I parked in front of my mom’s house. Where later that evening i went to get some things out of the truck. When i noticed Another Tire was leaking air, much more than the previous tire. But The big O in Denver was already closed. I had to go to an auto shop to buy a jack to not leave the rim sitting on the flat tire all night. The next morning i go to The Big O in denver on Colfax. They told me the valve was completely popped out. They replaced it but they said it would be $90 plus tax to put a new sensor. I said no If i can get them to replace it back home in Montrose (hopefully free) that would be better. This morning i called the Montrose Big O to update them on what was going on. The kind Manager i spoke to previously was not in. I was transferred to the assistant manager I think John. As I was trying to explain he kept cutting me off repeating the same thing. “ If the sensors are not broken or damaged we don’t touch them, I will get in touch with the technician in Glenwood to see what he has to say” He kept cutting me off mid conversation three times repeating the same line. Like he was not having it, and made it sound like that was on me. I feel like anyone with any sort of common sense would understand if with the old tires i had no valve or pressure sensor problems its possible its installation/installer error. And I had no issues prior to having the new tires installed…. So maybe their error when installing? Definitely felt like he was just pushing me off the phone not letting me explain. They say that customer safety is number one priority but that wasn’t how i felt. Thank god both times the two valves went out i was close to a Big O tires. It’s not like if they mess up and order at a restaurant, they can make a new order. But god forbid my tires went out in the freeway or on the canyons or mountain passes. What of my family and I crash or die. Or hit someone else? 6 years I was a customer at Big O Montrose. After this I don’t feel comfortable taking any vehicles here. Rude assistant manager. $60 bucks for a new sensor with free installation at Discount Tires, with a much more professional looking crew."
"This place saved our trip. Already had the spare on due to a flat, and got another flat coming into town. We were in and out in under 2 hours. I'd recommend this place to anyone, whether from Montrose or not. Thank you for helping us on a busy Saturday."
