"Miracles in Motion is a non-profit that offers therapeutic horse riding/hippotherapy to kids and adults with physical and mental challenges, along with at-risk youth. It is a fantastic program! The staff are all amazing, super friendly, supportive, warm and caring! I volunteered here in 2003 with AmeriCorps*NCCC. Sue Bock is or at least was the owner at that time. My team was camping/living at a nearby campground run by the Army Corps of Engineers (if my memory serves me correctly) and I don't remember what months we were there but it was freezing- so much so that both Sue Bock & her husband, along with another amazing employee/volunteer by the name of Joyce opened their homes to us and we finished our time there living with them! While I was there, I build post fencing along the perimeter of the fields, put up bird netting in the indoor riding arena, helped with the classes/kids as a side walker, tacked and groomed the horses. I learned to ride and appreciate horses up close- something I was never exposed to before. I loved the horses and their personalities! Miracles in Motion is such a wonderful place and it holds fond memories for me. I went back to visit in 2005 or 2006 and had a nice time. I will definitely stop back in the next time I'm in town, but who knows when that will be. :^) I 100 million% recommend Miracles In Motion!!!"
"They do great work. Happy to support them."
"Wonderful instructors, wonderful horses, wonderful facility. I don't know how it works, but it has been the most effective therapy for my autistic son that we have experienced. Really fun place to volunteer also if you like horses and helping kids and veterans one- on one. Music happens right before your eyes."
"Wonderful organization providing a variety of therapies. Mostly volunteer run. Check it out."
