"Absolutely the WORST business practice! I had an appointment today for the intake. Called all day for the for to confirm location address & get directions to be sure. I left messages throughout the day but never heard back; No way to talk to a live person… and the prompts on their phone system don’t work. Called at least 36 times desperate for help with address & directions. I finally get there and have to reschedule because she has no time for me today (I get that, she may or may not have had other patients scheduled after me and they deserve their time). I informed her (the therapist) that their phone system is terrible and doesn’t work; her response was a push off of “that may be so”. Asked why if they don’t have any staff to help patients if they’re seeing patients, her response was that “we have a video camera that we watch”. WHAT ABOUT PATIENTS WHO CALL FOR HELP - they might need directions, or have an emergency arise and need to notify that they cannot make their appointment, or many other valid reasons a patient may need to call them. Yes, there’s a patient online chart but it does not give an address of your appointment, and who is going to send a message through that while driving when there’s no knowing when you will hear back. They don’t have any staff after noon on Fridays! And evidently they don’t answer the phones or return calls AT ALL on Fridays. This is how they deal with patients?!?! It’s hard enough for people to make the step towards help. Then patients run into the problem of finding a provider who is taking on patients then they have to also make sure they can afford it either with or without insurance. Then, they wait and wait to get in to be seen and HOPE this provider meshes well with you and capable of providing the care you need. You FINALLY get to the day of your appointment and THERE’s NO STAFF TO HELP YOU, only to be told “I don’t have time for you” (yeah, everyone in the mental health crisis LOVES hearing THAT), and when you voice your concerns about COMMUNICATION problems only to have them shook off as nothing. You reschedule because you need & want help. You walk out of there feeling absolutely hopeless and trapped in a way because you’ve expended so much energy just trying to get some help and you get within reach just to have it torn away and further delayed because they choose not to have SOMEONE ANSWER THE PHONE to help patients get to where they need to be or what-have you."

"I was to see Scott. Saw him two times and both times there were computer issues! Couldn't talk to me about my issues as needed to have my history documented and could take 4 visits to complete. This may have taken another month or more. I needed help now. I don't have the time or that much history to take 4 sessions. Either change history requirements to allow therapy to take place sooner. Send form to patient to complete and send in. Have administrative person input info. Save therapist time and patients would get help as requested and not just sitting while someone inputs info."
