"Happened upon this store while traveling and met the kindest gentleman! Dan Anderson was so helpful and interesting to chat with while shopping. He’s the kind of gentleman that I would love to sit on a porch with and listen to stories that I’m sure he’s bound to have from his 80+ years of living. He was a true gentleman helping my mom and I purchase shoes. Definitely would recommend stopping by this store to meet Dan and get excellent service!"
"Quality shoes priced reasonably. Clean, spacious store with friendly staff"
"This is the best shoe store around for a few reasons. First is how kind and helpful the owner is and the gentleman who is usually working. He is the sweetest guy and he's so very helpful. The bootery usually has something for everyone and if they don't, they can order it for you. You'd think their prices would be high since they're a small shop in the middle of BFE, but they have very competitive prices and always have items on sale. If you need shoes, don't go to des moines or order online, check out what the bootery has to offer!!"
"They carry a nice assortment of good quality shoes. The service is friendly and very helpful. I have wide feet and they were happy to order me a pair of Clark's shoes (a brand they carry, but not a style they had in the store) and then stretch them to accommodate my wider foot. They got the shoes quickly and I had them home within a couple of weeks of my first visit, feeling like they were already nicely broken in and comfy. I also found an adorable and well-designed purse during my visit. Bonus! (-:"
"I go in once per year to get my shoes. Around that time the soles of my shoes are starting to peel off from wear and tear. A year is good for shoes for what I do. Friendly staff, very knowledgable and attentive but I usually have to order my shoes. I wouldn't mind that so much accept they usually take months to get in."
