Reviews of Story Time Preschool & Child
"Because my co parent practices a "not one more minute than provided by decree" policy, I went there a lot to spend time with my son. The facility on Morningside Ave could be a converted gas station. It is built on slab and in the winter time there is no escaping the chill. The people are very nice with the exception of Miss Livinia and the owner. One time when we were outside I suggested playing tag to get these kids running around and they said that they were not allowed which I could not believe but I believed it when the owner came roaring out. A staff member said that it is because the act of tagging another could be construed as an act of violence. One time Jason's parents sent ABC flash cards to school and I wanted to play with them and he said he is not allowed. When I inquired with Miss Kara as to why, I was told that he is not allowed to get them out for fear of losing some of them. Mostly kids there just play with blocks made from cut up 2x4 . One time my son asked me to teach him how to write because his mother does not allow him to call me so I brought a paper and pencil to school and apparently Miss Livinia ratted me off because my co parent was accusing me of forcing my son to learn how to read and write. Miss Lavinia would hang out by us and eves drop on our conversations. It was very creepy and the owner Kim Story had anger issues."
"I can't believe that people actually get on these review sites to air their own dirty laundry and make up absolute lies. Our son went to both of the Morningside daycares and had a WONDERFUL experience with caring staff. I never once worried about what was happening to him because of the positive environment provided. Kim Geisler has gone the extra mile for so many kids and families. Shame on you dregs for trying to stir up negative press because of your own issues."
"Best daycare ever! Lot of attention, lots of extras and kindness to my child. Chad, your kid didn't even wear diapers and got tons of one on one attention. I remember her. You posted these lies just because your company did crappy work on their building and you got fired. Let's talk about some upside down siding and gutters falling off. This is just retaliation for someone expecting your company to provide good workmanship, what a joke you are!"
"Can I give it no stars? My daughters attended this daycare, which caused many issues for one of them. She came home consistently with diaper rashes. When we brought it up to Kim Geisler, she claimed they did not have enough people to change her diaper more than every 4 hours. Apparently, all that is required by the state, even after we came with a doctors note. It also caused a UTI due to the neglect, as well. After, Kim tried weaponizing us having our daughters there by claiming they didn't have to pay their bill to my employer, because we owed money to them after pulling our daughters due to a lake of care. They have since caused many issues for my family and I."
"My son is currently enrolled right now and I have had no issues. I think Ms. Kara is very nice, and firm when needed. My son has a speech problem and I noticed he has been speaking much more. The whole kids playing tag thing is against all daycares. I worked at a popular daycare for months and the kids were not supposed to run at all in fear of hurting themselves or others. Its just a precaution daycares take. If someone also brought a toy, the child is not allowed to play with it at the daycare, they could lose it and it could come back on the daycare. Again, just another precaution. The only thing I have to complain about is that I wish they would inform me more on how his day was, and if he ate anything. But I guess no news is good news :)"
