"Excellent Doctor I transferred my medical care to her when I was 5mos pregnant. She was hands on and took great care of me and my child. The other Doctor I dealt with at UNMC before her would not introduce themselves to me only their resident would see me. I felt like a number not a patient. Due to my age I needed extra care and she made sure I had it and made sure there were no foreseen complication. I appreciate your work Dr. Jones"

"My overall experience wasn’t negative just uncomfortable. Below my expectations and that’s probably my own fault for having super high expectations and being so excited to have found a brown skinned doctor. My first experience started about a couple years ago when I went in for general check up to understand why we weren’t getting pregnant. I was referred to IVF doctor and told we wouldn’t get pregnant naturally and needed to seek infertility treatment. (Awful experience and wish I’d have just waited) Went through IVF May to Aug 2021 and it failed. Got pregnant naturally in Dec 2021. Decided to go back to Dr Carolee Jones, many of my family members had delivered with her. Unlike me most just take Dr advice and not very interested in birth plans/ advocating for themselves. One was induced early and scheduled c-section recently. I really wanted to be very informed so I did lots of research, I created a birth plan. I read multiple books and did lots of research on how I'd like my birth experience to look like. I understand being flexible of course but I wanted a doctor that cared to review it with me to understand why some things were important to me. Dr Carolee Jones seemed a bit annoyed by it, most appointments felt a bit rushed. She asked to copy my plan, never signed it or even came back to the room to discuss it with me. This is when I decided to switch to a mid wife. This wasn't the only reason, the first thing that happened that I was uncomfortable with was in my first trimester I was struggling a bit with hormones and my mood was out of wack. I was quickly prescribed zoloft an anti depressant. I researched the risks and decided to not take it. That's not the problem, the issue is not in even one of my appointments did Dr Jones ask how I was doing in that regard. How I was feeling.. I hope sharing my experience will help someone and just to remind every new mom even if a Dr has done this 1000s of Times. You matter, you should feel valued and it's okay to want more personal care it's your first baby and first pregnancy. Please understand I would still highly recommend Dr. Jones if you're going to go with a doctor. I just wanted more personal care and a midwife was the best option for me."

"After no help (and rarely a call back) with multiple calls to the doctor's office that placed my daughter's iud, trying to get answers for issues she was having. We called Methodist Women's Hospital and got a call back from a nurse right away. They were able to get her in right away for an ultrasound and appointment with Dr. Jones. Dr. Jones has a great bedside manner and was very kind and thorough with my daughter. She confirmed a misplaced iud and removed the device. Thank you so much Dr. Jones! We are very grateful!"
