"Great place for the hard to get parts"

"I had Birdhaven install new wheel studs in the rear wheel hub on my model A and had a great experience with them. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful and knowledgeable and I felt they charged a reasonable price for the work. The parts purchased were competitive or cheaper than online stores, and they’re local so it was easy too. They held to their commitment of when they would have the work done by and I’ll definitely be back when I need something else."

"The only reason I rated Birdhaven Auto Supply a “1” is because I couldn’t give them a “0” or a negative number. I was a first time user of Birdhaven Auto Supply. I ordered two mirrors for my vintage car and when it was determined that they had sent the wrong parts, either knowingly or unknowingly, I asked politely if I could return the parts. Once the woman who answered the phone found out that I was asking if I could return the parts (that they incorrectly sent me) she became unhelpful. After some discussion and some pleading, she finally agreed to refund 80% of the value of the parts but only after inspecting the parts to make sure they weren’t damaged. My question to anyone who will listen is why would anyone do business with a company that sends the wrong parts and when you try and return the parts they argue with you and then penalize you financially for a mistake that they made? I don’t get it. I am committed to spreading my story to any vintage car owner at any car show that I attend to make sure that they know of the awful experience I had before they consider doing business with Vintage Auto Supply."
