"Negative stars if I could. This company is a fraudulent scamming shady shiesty business. Since October 2023 I have been lied to about my father’s death payout from his insurance policy. They have lied so many times about what was wrong with my paperwork, saying the emailed or mailed me when they never did, then now it’s an excuse of an “internal” computer issue that won’t pay out my claim to me. I have filed complaints with the BBB and it seems transamerica pays them off to close the case with no response from them. I will be seeking legal advice and seeking out the news stations in Cedar Rapids, to expose this god awful scamming company. I need my payout to have closure from loosing my father and this is awful, what they put grieving people through. I’m not the only one either. You check their reviews on multiple sites it’s the same issues with everyone. It’s pathetic that this is how a company operates, especially with those who just lost a loved one. You can’t ever get a supervisor, they disconnect your call when you ask for one, they can’t ever give you a straight answer to any question either. I was told today by a “supervisor” that a check was printed January 23rd, but can’t confirm if it was finally sent or not. My updated complaint with BBB today (which reopened the closed case) had a response stating they’d let me know when they have answers to my claim. They had the policy number so why didn’t they confirm at that time any info about the check? It’s a scamming company. They do anything they can to delay the payout owed to the beneficiary, they lie about everything, and they hang up on you when you question their motives. Stay far, far away from these people."

"I'd like to give NEGATIVE star rating. Horrible company to do business with. My mom has had a life insurance policy with them for over 30 years that she paid regularly on. Now that she has passed, It has been almost 3 months and we are still waiting for the pay-out on her policy. Numerous calls and emails but no answers. Keep getting a statement that my call / claim will be "escalated" so that I should hear back in a day or 2. Still no answer on what the status is or when the money will be coming. Customer service keeps giving pre-scripted answers to prolong this. No such thing as talking to the same person or even a supervisor. Apparently that is not possible. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this company."

"Never buy life insurance from this company. If you need help while you’re still alive, you’re better off dead do not leave the burden of you being dead and your family trying to get help from this company. They must be bankrupt and broke because she will not shake loose of any funds, whether it’s a loan value to your policy or your benefits do not try to communicate with them alive because that experience will kill you"

"This company is the worst one if you want to buy life insurance. The don't tell you the trust of your policy and , when I found out and cancelled the policy, tried to get my refund back. Of course, everything is in processing as they said. over month they still not refund you . When they charging you they were super fast, then you need your refund, just waiting for 15 business day, then 3-7 business day then 7 business day then.... Try other companies before you choose this company . and check if they are basic built in USA , not overseas."
