Originally built in 1880 as The Brinker Collegiate Institute, it was later transformed into Hotel Richelieu, a gentleman's club, and then into a bordello named after King Henry Navarre. In 1904, Denver Mayor Robert Speer put an end to illegal activities in the building, turning it into a respectable dining club. Over the years, The Navarre has served as a fine dining establishment, a jazz club, and a museum of Western art. Today, it is home to The American Museum of Western ArtβThe Anschutz Collection, showcasing a stunning collection of Western American art.
