"Wonderful place to live. The units are large and open, management is responsive and helpful, and it is an amazing location. Close to restaurants, bars, grocery store, Downtown/East Village, etc."
"I love the apartment I have moved into. I’ve been here almost a year now and I intend fully to sign another lease. I have been treated with respect and with a sense of urgency and care. Amanda has always responded with kindness to my inquiries and sometimes silly questions. Yes, sometimes a maintenance request does take longer than I’d like, but we’re all in this journey together. I do recommend Portswell/Wellsport and I would again in the future. I love the neighborhood, the surrounding shops and sights and all of the dogs in the hood are lovely. Very convenient for interstate travel and who doesn’t love a coffee joint right up the road? =]"
"I currently live here, and overall, it is a really nice place to live. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could, but I have to choose between 3 and 4. The positives: Beautiful neighborhood, spacious apartment, excellent modern fixtures and appliances, AC/heat work well, attractive interior space with hardwood floors and a sort of neutral bordering on mediterranean paint scheme. I mark it down a little, however, for two reasons primarily. First, it is priced somewhat high for the neighborhood as though it is a downtown apartment when clearly it is not. Second, and more important, the management takes a long time to respond to things. I know they have a lot on their plate and it is not personal, but there are issues that go unaddressed for weeks, and there are some mild annoyances related to getting new keys when they change the doors, that sort of thing. They do respond eventually, especially if you repeat your requests. But they are not as responsive as they should be for a building priced at this level. Some residents (not me) have reported more serious problems such as mild mold growth on the first floor, some pest control issues in the basement, and issues with changing the door locks. I personally haven't experienced the mold or pest issues up on the second floor. But there is some degree of frustration among tenants about the lack of responsiveness at times. Overall it's a good place to live. But I respectfully believe management could be more attentive to tenant needs, especially given how high priced the property is listed at."
