The ring had been insured several years ago but the replacement value wasn't up to date. The folks at Jared couldn't have been kinder or worked any harder to help her find a substitution that was in her insurance company's price range. "I normally don’t do reviews, but this one I had to. On 10/28 I called the Jordan Creek store in Des Moines, IA to inquire about pricing my rings to have them sorted together. I spoke with Chris answering all of my questions intelligently. I told him it was 3 rings, he quoted me $59x2. I was thinking great. He then proceeded to say if there is anything that need to be done it would be $219. I ask so if prongs or something needs to be tightened that’s all included in the $219 (sorter, clean, and whatever else) Chris says “yes”. I stated great!! How long does it take to get it back? Chris say 7-10 days. He said if you bring it today which was Saturday or Monday or Tuesday even it will be okay. I said great!! Very excited. So I went into the store 10/30. There were 2 store associates standing male and female. Myself and two co workers walked in the store.(2 African American women, 1 Hispanic male) we were not greeted properly. That should have been a sign to leave. Do I did finally talked to the male associate. I told him what I needed. He gives me this outrageous price of $219x2 to sorter the rings.So I tell him that’s not what Chris quoted me over the phone. Do he texts Chris. Chris never texted back so the white male store rep says. I waited probably about 30 minutes. I asked you can’t call him? No he’s at a managers meeting @ 6:00pm? By now I am feeling some kind of way. Because find out Chris is the manager you can’t take my word as to what I was quoted? I would not have known Chris if he walked through the doors. So I took my rings and stayed just give them to me I don’t like how I am being made feel. I don’t like using the word but the staff at the Jordan Creek store showed the worst of its kind RACISM!! For that alone that store has tainted how I feel about all Jared Stores!!"
