"Well, I gotta say, that Sergeant Floyd Monument down in Sioux City is somethin' else! It's like a little brother to the Washington Monument, and that's just neat as a jar of pickles on a hot summer day. I reckon it's a real fine piece of work, honorin' Sergeant Floyd and all, and it sure does make a feller proud to be from the USA. Five stars? Heck, I'd give it six if I could!"
"Perfect spot to commerate Sgt. Floyd and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Impressive views of the Missouri River. A poignant spot for history buffs."
"Sergeant Floyd was the only perished member of the Lewis and Clark expedition. He allegedly succumbed to appendicitis, which was incurable at the time, whose body is said to be buried in a site in vicinity on the Nebraska side. It was too hot to appreciate the monument fully when we there, and the weather was also probably too unforgiving for the interpretive signs too. Fortunately some of them are identical to those of the Sergeant Floyd River Museum."
"A must visit for any Lewis and Clark history buff. The spot where Sergeant Floyd was buried during the Lewis and Clark expedition. The site is well maintained and has several informative signs around the site concerning his death and the exhibition. You can really get a good feel for the history as you stand in the same spot as Lewis and Clark."
