The candle game here is on point. :) They sell local art, and the most beautiful blankets. Warm and welcoming vibe. Scott and Emily built a talented team of designers that are experienced, professional and extremely helpful. Our family had some design work done and they did such a great job of creating the look and feel we were looking for. So grateful to have them in our community."

"If I could put 0 stars I would. I am not one to write reviews online but I really feel strongly that you need to know this is not a good Company to deal with! I am a local Iowa City Realtor with more than 25 years experience in Iowa City. Emily Hughes cares more about her builder clients than the customers or people who hire and pay her. We paid around $9K for services and did not get what we paid for. Emily quit without notice and reasons unknown to us in the middle of the project we hired her for because H & H Builders told her too. Emily still to this day will not return our correspondence. After several calls and emails Emily did send us an email that stated "I thought you were no longer building this home with H and H, so I have taken it off of my schedule." Don't you think you should have that conversation with the persons that paid you $9K before you take that step! Emily never spoke to my wife or I about it and still has never called or spoken to us about it. And Emily refuses to pay us our money back. Emily you owe us our money back. You walked away in the middle of the process without cause other than you put Randy Hahn & H & H Builders interest before ours. And if you forgot Randy Hahn and H & H did not hire or pay you my wife and I did. If you want to keep $9K for services you failed to complete and refuse to complete you should have H & H Builders pay you. So anyone looking at this company should be very careful if Emily Hughes puts a builder before her clients that's a big red flag! I would not recommend Emily Hughes or her company to anyone! And if you do business like this in our small town you will not be in business very long! About Owners Response: That was a fast response from Emily! Never have you ever gotten back to us let alone respond that fast! But Emily is quick to state she is keeping/stealing our money! Roughly $9k “Deposit” shows the job was engaged but not complete but you take our money really I guess that’s the way you run your business! It’s also funny how Emily is so quick to defend her Builder client instead of the person that hired and paid her! Even saying I am slandering her Builder client! It’s not slander when the statements are true! Emily you only care about your Builder clients if you take money from us your actual clients and then follow your Builder clients direction without talking to us the people who hired and paid you that’s a problem! And those are the facts. Good luck trying to twist it any other way you’re taking money for not completing the job you were hired to do. The little amount of work you did was not worth the roughly $9k that you have taken!"
