Reviews of Badlands Tank Lines, LLC
"They let Walt out of Colorado curse out drivers, call drivers out of their name and fire drivers. Management and office staff are sloppy and lazy. Pin drops are never accurate. Slip seat company. High turn over rate. Fire drivers left and right. Badlands us well known for hiring and firing then hiring the same driver in one day. Will get 5 loads a shift and have to reject 3. Get 1 full load and then a partial load. They keep job postings up when no jobs are available and the daily rate they advertise is not what you actually will be making. The equipment is hit or miss. They do offer housing however expect to be taken advantage of when you are in the housing. They hire 0 experience and give 1 day of training. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IN CHEYENNE, WYOMING OR COLORADO BRANCHES."
"I'm happy , well paid , B.T.L. is an excellent company to work for , they are rare in that they actually care about their drivers. And take care of them ."
"Management team is unprofessional and just down right ignorant. They say there family. Badlands could be the best company in the oilfield if they had some good management. The driver turnover is higher than anywhere I have ever seen.. The drivers that are at badlands are applying at other companies to leave. There is only so many top tier drivers and they have burnt Thru them all. It’s sad. Maybe this Owner gentleman Roger will clean house and make the company a dominant force in the oilfield that it should be. I have seen the fire drivers that have spilled a bucket of oil and the bucket was full because the trailer wasn’t operating correctly. They blame the driver never the management. It’s funny because those former drivers leave and go to another company and have long employments with new company. Training is horrible, they over hire, play favorites, promise you the world. I would imagine the owner really doesn’t know what’s going on there. The man has spent big bucks to grow, but with how it’s run in the field won’t last. Spills, truck fires, wrecks and winter is coming up north… I kinda hope they get it together but that’s on the owner"
"We’re a leased on Owner Op under these guys! We’ve been shown nothing but kindness and we’re happy with everything that’s going on. I can’t speak for every location but we’re happy where we’re at! Good money and kind management , can’t ask for much more!"
"Small company that is very unorganized! They paid me for two days instead of three days. Here is my story of this so called good company. First of all you are not going to make $300 to $350 a day with the loads you all are about to haul and no they do not have the highest pay rate in West Texas, more like the lowest. They pay you on the net barrels not the gross, so they're gaining that much more from you all that choose to work their. It is going to be rare that you do 4 loads, it is more like 3 loads a day. They want you to haul 195 barrels knowing that is very illegal!! They want you to haul overweight on the Interstate, once again illegal!! DOT hours - My flight left to Denver, Colorado at 6 am, picked up a truck, but didn't get back to Midland, Texas until 2:15 am the next day. That's the very short story, but it was hell that day!! I worked 20 hours if you do the math and they still wanted to shift my hours, so I can work at 10 am the same day I came back. Again illegal!! I decided to jump ship because I've worked in West Texas for years and they are going to expect it in the future. The supervisor is very unprofessional and so is the second in command of the whole company. I'm warning you all to stay away and don't waist your time. Go to any other company, but this one. Huge headache here!! Just something super simple about me, I've hauled oil for about 10 years and this company is the worst one I've ever worked for. Good luck!!"
